Last updated: March 6, 2026

1. Definitions

In these Terms of Service (“Terms”):

“Service” means the Arenalinq platform, including the recruiting portal, player portal, and public player card pages, accessible at arenalinq.com and its subdomains.

“Customer” means a college, university, athletic department, or sports organization that subscribes to the recruiting portal.

“Authorized User” means coaches, staff, and administrators designated by a Customer.

“Athlete” means an individual who creates a player portal account to manage their athletic profile.

“Parent” means an individual who creates an account to manage one or more Athlete accounts on behalf of a minor.

“Athlete Data” means information about athletes entered into the Service, whether entered by the athlete, a parent, or a Customer.

“Subscription” means a paid plan providing access to premium features, available to both Customers and Athletes.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Coaches and Authorized Users must be 18 or older and authorized by a Customer.

2.2 Athletes must be at least 13 years of age. Athletes between 13 and 17 are minors with additional protections.

2.3 Children under 13 may not create their own account. A parent or legal guardian may create and manage an account on their behalf, subject to the parental consent process in the Privacy Policy.

2.4 Parents must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of the minor athlete(s) they manage.

3. Accounts and Registration

3.1 One email, one role. Each email may be associated with one account type only (Coach, Athlete, or Parent).

3.2 You agree to provide accurate and complete information and keep it current.

3.3 You are responsible for account security and all activity under your account.

3.4 A Parent account holder is responsible for all activity on minor athlete accounts they manage. The parent is the account holder for any athlete under 13.

4. Athlete Profiles and Data Ownership

4.1 Athletes and parents own their profile information (biographical data, athletic history, education, video highlights, contact information).

4.2 Customers maintain their own recruiting records, evaluations, and notes. These are owned by the Customer.

4.3 Athletes control profile visibility through the player portal, subject to subscription status.

4.4 The Service does not facilitate direct contact between coaches and athletes outside permissible contact periods under applicable rules, including NCAA Bylaws 13.4.1 and 13.1.3.1.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

5.1 Customer subscriptions are governed by separate commercial terms.

5.2 Athletes may subscribe to premium features ($4.99/month) to unlock scout visibility. Free accounts include profile creation and sharing via direct link.

5.3 Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. Cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period.

5.4 Athletes under 18 may subscribe with the understanding that a parent or guardian is responsible for the payment method. We encourage minors to obtain parental permission before subscribing.

5.5 Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Access another user’s account without authorization
  • Scrape or harvest athlete data
  • Use the Service to contact athletes in violation of recruiting rules
  • Circumvent age restrictions or parental consent requirements
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

7. Data Protection Responsibilities

7.1 Customers are responsible for their use of Athlete Data within workspaces, including compliance with applicable privacy laws.

7.2 Athletes and Parents are responsible for accuracy of information provided. You may update or delete your information at any time.

7.3 For athlete-entered data, Arenalinq acts as a data controller. For Customer-entered recruiting data, Arenalinq acts as a data processor on behalf of the Customer.

8. Account Deletion

8.1 Athletes may delete their account at any time through settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent, in accordance with GDPR Article 17 and COPPA §312.6.

8.2 Parents may delete accounts they manage on behalf of minor athletes. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

8.3 Account deletion removes athlete self-entered profile data. Customer-maintained recruiting records are not affected.

9. Termination

9.1 We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9.2 You may terminate your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

10.2 Arenalinq does not guarantee athletic recruitment outcomes, college placement, or scholarship offers.

10.3 Liability is limited to the amount paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
